FAQ
Do you have a specialty?
The specialty focus of my practice is working with adult clients who may be experiencing anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, confidence / self esteem, assertiveness, life transition or interpersonal / relationship challenges.
What is your style?
It is my hope that clients leave the session feeling more clear and empowered, and with insights / tools that will assist in current time. The past and the future are both important, but need to be integrated with the present to see results in enhancing quality of life. I tend to utilize humanistic, interpersonal, mind/body, emotion-focused, ACT and CBT therapy modalities. I am down-to-earth, practical and hold a space for clients to process what is of most importance in the most comfortable way possible. I can be direct when I feel it’s in the client’s best interest.
What are your qualifications?
I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University.
What location do you serve?
I am licensed in Ohio, and this means that the client must be physically in Ohio when receiving therapy services. I provide exclusively online therapy services.
What is the average length of service?
I take it step-by-step with what the client feels she/he /they need. I have had clients come in for sessions spread out over a period of weeks, months or years, and others who want to meet for just a session or two. Some clients have attended sessions regularly, and then move to as-needed check-ins. This truly varies by the goals, schedule availability and budget of the client.
How do I make the most of the session?
Therapy is an investment toward personal growth and goals, and can best be utilized when clients approach it from a place of active ownership / participation. This can include being mindful of what you’d like to focus on before attending the session, and what your goals are for what you want to see in yourself (the things over which you have direct control).
Do you have evening / weekend availability?
I do offer evening and Saturday morning hours.
What is the cost?
The fee is $150 per session. While I am not on insurance panels, I can provide a receipt to clients to submit to insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. The following payment methods are accepted: American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover or Health Savings Account.
